Microsoftは2026年5月28日、Anthropicが同日一般公開したClaude Opus 4.8をMicrosoft 365 Copilotで有効化した。これはPowerPoint単体の機能ではなく、Copilotのモデル選択機能にAuto/ChatGPT(OpenAI)/Claudeの選択肢としてOpus 4.8が加わったもので、対象面はCopilot Chat・Excel・PowerPoint・Copilot Studioに及ぶ。前世代のOpus 4.7でも同日提供の前例があった。
PowerPointでClaudeを選ぶと、デッキ一式の生成・スライド追加・要約・本文リライトが可能になる。Opus 4.8は公式説明で『資料作成・データ分析・プレゼンに強い』『複数手順の長尺タスクの遂行と指示遵守が向上』とされる。
ただし利用には有償の商用M365 Copilotライセンスが必須で、テナント管理者が管理センターでAnthropicをサブプロセッサ(委託先データ処理者)として有効化する必要がある。提供はGAではなく早期リリース対象中心の段階展開で、モデル選択はセッション限定、日本テナントでの即時提供可否は未確認だ。Wordは2026年夏に対応予定とされる。
